Data scientist and ML engineer. Generally AI-oriented, with experience spanning development and business.
I build data and AI platforms — currently as a Senior Data Engineer on DNB's Insight Factory team, working across Go, TypeScript/React, Kotlin/Quarkus, Kafka, AWS and LLM/GenAI tooling (MCP servers, LoRA fine-tuning, retrieval pipelines).
Before DNB I did applied ML work at Skatteetaten (tax authority) and Fremtind, and full-stack development at NMBU. My master's thesis at NMBU was on abstractive text summarization for Norwegian using transformer models — one of the earlier applications of transformer-based summarization to Norwegian text.
Outside of work: strategy games, guitar, and generally poking at whatever new AI tooling shows up.

Turned a wall of SQL/VQL metadata into a graph you can actually look at. Filed a pandas bug along the way.
A handful of Norwegian summarization/translation datasets and a translation model, still sitting on Hugging Face from the thesis days.
Transformer-based abstractive summarization for Norwegian text — among the earlier applications of the approach to the language.
